U.S. House, OR-05
I am a proud and pragmatic progressive Democrat who has focused my career on rebuilding communities and protecting our natural resources. I am called to serve through my faith and life lessons — my school teacher mom taught me to “always leave a place better than you found it.” A former union member with working-class roots, I am the first out lesbian elected east of Oregon’s Cascades and am an outspoken advocate for climate justice, reproductive rights, racial justice, and working families. I work hard, bring people together, and stand up for those often left behind.
I am running because we are in a time of crisis for our environment, our families, and our democracy. We are also in a time of opportunity with the potential for a stronger, more sustainable economy with better community relationships.
