Virginia House of Delegate, District 55
The daughter of two civil rights attorneys and long-time 55th resident, parent, teacher, and leader, I am committed to serving the public. Just as I believe that Virginia’s 55th District deserves independent-minded, principled, service-oriented, and competent representation. Every constituent deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, no matter who they are, what their background is, what the color of their skin is, who they love, what their gender identity is, how they worship or don’t, what their abilities are, how much money they have, or how they vote. The current representative neglects the people of this district at best and he does harm to them at the worst. He does not sponsor legislation and he has an anti-human rights voting record. People in the district, even those who vote for him do not respect him. I have always been a community advocate and leader who people trust and respect. My work is to help people, to make their lives better, and to make our community a better place to live for ALL of us. Now, it’s time to take that work to the Virginia General Assembly. The people of the 55th district deserve a representative who shows up and who works and who will work hard nonstop for them.
