Prince Williams Board of Supervisors, Occoquan District
Kenny is a community organizer, grassroots activist, and advocate for healthcare, criminal justice reform, housing as a human right, campaign finance reform, and social justice. Although he has been involved in politics for his entire adult life, his involvement increased several fold when his mother began to suffer from bipolar disorder and could not afford the healthcare coverage she needed. After graduating from Georgetown University, he joined up with OFA to fight for the ACA in New Mexico, and got involved in local and state politics in Florida and now Virginia.
Kenny is the former Chairman of the Prince William NAACP’s Criminal Justice Committee, the Occoquan Democratic Committee, and a founding member of the Greater Prince William Climate Action Network. Drawing from his low income background and his family’s struggles, He has applied his lived experience to fighting for social justice and a society where no one falls through the cracks. As a direct descendant of Virginian slaves, he is deeply devoted to improving lives here in Prince William County. And this is why Kenny is running.
