West Virginia State House, District 7
Help elect Lissa
Lissa Lucas was born to Democrat dad and a Republican mom she grew up in in a home where it was okay to have differing political views and still have a civil discussion and mutual respect. She intends to bring that attitude to the House of Delegates. Lissa was Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marietta College. Lissa has taught English in China, dug up dinosaur bones in Utah, worked as a journalist at the local paper, as the PR Manager for a national window manufacturer, and as the Communications Director for a small state university. She currently manages interactive media and directs her company’s agricultural blog.
Lissa is not a career politician and does not want to be in politics and in her own words is just “a regular person,”. She is running for office because she is disgusted by the money in politics and wants the representatives to represent the people and their constituents and not the corporate interests of their donors. Lissa has fought money in politics; writing, beginning and calling her representative.
Lissa was dragged out of the West Virginia House because she listed who paid the delegates that were willing to give away property rights of hard-working rural West Virginians for corporate interest. Lissa is running a grassroots campaign fighting for civil and property rights, addressing addiction crisis and invests in the future from affordable education to a sustainable environment. Lissa will fight for every West Virginian until she can get money out of politics and ensure that people have the power not corporation.
