District 6 Board of Supervisors, San Francisco
Unapologetically pro-worker, pro-union, and progressive, Matt Haney has led the way in building a more equitable, just, thriving San Francisco throughout his career and is now continuing to fight for these things in his campaign for District 6 Supervisor.
Matt is a Commissioner and immediate past President of the San Francisco Board of Education. Matt was elected to the Board of Education in 2012, and re-elected in 2016 with the most votes ever received by any candidate for San Francisco School Board in history. With Van Jones and Jessica Jackson, he is the Co-Founder of #cut50, a national initiative to cut the prison population in half in ten years.
