North Carolina State Senate, District 41
Natasha Marcus is a dedicated community leader and a former litigation attorney and candidate for the NC State House. Natasha earned her B.A. in Public Policy from Hamilton College and a J.D. from Duke University School of Law. She has been on the front lines in North Carolina as a policy advocate from Moral Mondays to the Women’s March and smaller, grassroots efforts to curb gun violence and build a stronger community. Today, she works for a local community center, working to provide services and support those most in need.
Natasha has worked to organize Democrats in Mecklenburg County, volunteered with both Obama’s campaign and Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and ran her own campaign for NC State House in 2014 in which she outperformed all expectations for a first time candidate and Democrat running in a Republican-dominated district. She continues to mobilize her community to fight for a better future and has widespread grassroots support.
Natasha knows that many of the critical policy issues North Carolinians face are decided at the state level. After bearing witness to changes in North Carolina that are detrimental to families, small businesses, schools and the environment, Natasha is more motivated than ever before to work on the behalf of the people of Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, Steele Creek, Pineville and S. Ballantyne.
If elected, Natasha will fight for affordable healthcare, common sense gun safety reform, clean drinking water, support for public education, and tax policies that are fair for working families. Natasha exemplifies commitment to hard work, the value of a quality education, and being a voice of reason and respect. In a time of political discord, Natasha Marcus offer solutions that bring people together and make positive change for the people of Senate District 41.
