Wisconsin State House, District 74
I am a local vegetable farmer from Washburn Wisconsin. I am a member of a 20 farm co-operative that was put together by our county extension agent. I have served on the town board, library board and the board of directors for our local food co-op. I am running for office because since 2016 I have seen a rise in authoritarianism in our country that is startling and flies in the face of the progressive northern values I was raised with.
I support a new economic bill of rights, I am actively learning about the issues that affect the members of my community and am actively listening to my future constituents to place their economic needs at the forefront. In my district it is important to support the movement for native rights and support and honor our obligations to the treaties of 1836 and 1842 that were signed between the Ojibwe people and the United States and centering our treaty obligations in decisions that impact the people and land that they call home. I have centered co-operative principles throughout my campaign to bring forward solutions that work for all the people not just the wealthy few.
