Jim Dean will be calling in from Iowa to discuss the prospects for a Progressive candidate winning the caucuses. As a result of some confusion in emails from Burlington, we thought the call was on the 3rd ... our usual meeting night. However, he will be calling on Wednesday night. Therefore, we will meet at Stacy's on Wednesday evening instead of Thursday. Join us! Then watch the caucus returns on Thursday to learn if he was correct!

April is Green, Celebrate Spring with DFA

Join your DFA friends for ice cream and a movie at Stacy's on Thursday!

DFA Green Meetings will feature the advocacy documentary Kilowatt Ours. The film demonstrates the connections an average homeowner's energy use has on mountain top removal, coal mining, global warming, and nuclear power. A key aspect of the film is that it demonstrates actions that apartment renters, homeowners, schools, and governments can do to save energy and reduce demand for unsustainable energy.

You will walk away from this film inspired to reduce your own greenhouse gases. The film is fun, thought provoking, and filled with great ideas on how to make a difference. Your group might even be inspired to take action in the community

Once again we will be the hosts for a great political movie night at Stacy's Coffee Parlor, 709 Broad Street, Falls Church opposite the Burger King. Food, friends, films.....

We will be screening "Darfur, A 21st Century Genocide: How many times can we say Never Again?" .

A major rally is planned in Washington DC for April 30th to generate pressure on the Bush administration to live up to its promises to support the African Union peacekeepers.

This International Issue was featured above the fold in the 4/10 Washington Post.

Let's hold those Republican Congressional Candidate's accountable for their failure to act to end the atrocities in Sudan. Did they not learn from Bosnia or Rwanda? Have we?

Bring your friends. See you at Stacy's!
