Stimulus Package to Contain Efficiency, Renewable Energy Measures

PSR is monitoring closely Congressional action to achieve the economic stimulus goals put forth by President Obama. Leaders in the House and Senate are vowing to complete the package before February 16 (Presidents Day) so that the new administration may begin implementing the spending programs as quickly as possible.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act includes a number of investments that create green jobs and promote renewable energy and energy conservation, totaling more than $50 billion in direct spending. The legislation should be a significant victory for the environment and public health.
