Dave is an avid reader and musician, having written numerous songs. He has, in the past, enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dave Pritt is also a Hog Fan and looks to returning home from Iraq to enjoy Arkansas Razorback Football with family and friends.

About Me:

Dave Pritt knows how to be heard in a group because he grew up in a household as the third of four sons born to Dr. Troy Pritt, a Presbyterian minister, and Lorraine Pritt, a nurse. After high school, Dave entered military service the first time as a member of the elite 82nd Airborne where he saw parts of the middle East, and was even stationed in the Sinai as part of the MFO forces. He also served with the 10th Mountain, 1st Armored Division, 1st Infantry Division, and was mobilized for Operation Desert Shield/Storm with 20th Special Forces Group to Ft Bragg. He saw service all over the world, serving in Somalia with the 10th Mountain Division--helping the people receive much needed food; Again in Macedonia as part of the UN force to bring stability to the region, but also where communist forces attempted to assassinate the Democratic President ( and subsequently he was one of 26 individuals honored for helping to save the President of Macedonia's life.). Much later he was one of the first who crossed the Sava River and entered Bosnia, going all the way south to Olovo to help liberate them from Serbian Genocide. More recently he has been deployed again--to Iraq, in Baghdad.

When he wasn't in the military, Pritt attended Erskine University in Due West, South Carolina where he cultivated his love of the guitar and music, while also studying History and Philosophy.

Pritt worked a few years also as an EMT, working with Arkansas based companies like EASI's of Pine Bluff, and MEMS of Little Rock. Pritt also is the owner of an internet company known as K2V named after his wife and two daughters. He also was the owner and operator of a Storefront business as an independent cell phone dealer in upstate NY. However he had to close that due to the mobilization and activation to Iraq.

Dave Pritt was inspired to run for the House of Representatives because he doesn't like where this nation is headed. Though he used to be a Republican, and has conservative roots, Pritt was inspired by "Common Sense Democrats" like General Wesley Clark and Governor Mike Beebe of Arkansas who understand its what unites us, not what divides us, that strengthens us as a community.

Dave was inspired one night while talking with Wes Clark during a fundraiser in Little Rock. Dave told his brother, Drew, after he is finished serving in Iraq he wanted to get involved politically, and give back to the state he had come to call his own. Drew, who ran for Lt. Governor of Arkansas in 2006, suggested that Dave continue to serve his country by running for the U.S. Congress. With a deep sense of duty, Dave Pritt is accepting the challenge and taking on John Boozman because he thinks it's time Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District had a voice in Congress again, not just a Rubber Stamp. He knows he is facing a strong challenge from a candidate with significant fundraising capacity. But Dave Pritt has never run from a fight and never will!
