Heart Tuner Gizmo (HRV) Breakthrough!
Dan has said that one of the things that should be done when tuning the heart, is to increase the "Left/Right" motion of the arrow in the Cepstrum screen. Doing this is supposed to increase Heart Rate Variability. Try as I might, my Coherence peaks always seemed to stay between 0.6 and 0.8Hz through most of my daily sessions, since I got the Heart Tuner last year.

Can the Heart Tuner "Gizmo" Locate Your Soul?
First of all, this is not a commercial. This Heart Tuner Gizmo I've been experimenting with is, well, "experimental" and I'm simply reporting my findings to the Community as they become available.
On several occasions in my life, I have seen my eternal self. I think that this happens to compassionate people more often than is commonly realized. One example I often use is the moment when Lovers feel like two halves of the same person, but there is literature and scripture abounding around the world where folks claim to have attained higher states of awareness, or Oneness, or Grok.
Yet for all of the words and stories, myths and legends, there really has never been a way to objectively verify any of it. What happens in the body when this Oneness occurs? Is it measurable? If it can be measured, can it also be taught?
It is widely accepted in both medical and spiritual communities that Heart Coherence is emerging as something very important. Meditation, yoga and contemplative prayer are now considered to be "Heart Coherence Excercises." My experiments with the Heart Tuner have shown that it's quite easy to learn how to make the harmonic waves in your heart coherent. In fact I was startled at how quickly this Gizmo removes myth, legend and superstition from the process of accessing one's eternal nature. I'm not saying that I've suddenly achieved "Christ Consciousness," or anything even close, but I've remembered those times in my life when I've touched eternity, and just by playing this simple game, I've begun to map out the path to my Stillpoint. It starts by learning to consciously bring order to your heart's electromagnetic field.
So, can this Heart Tuner Gizmo really locate your soul?
Stay tuned...

DemocracyFest (Epilogue)
Herein is my Deanstock 5 report to the community, and first of all I want to thank the folks who not only got this street musician to this event, but made my better two thirds comfortable sending me off to do something that was really important.
Demonstrating Gizmo is a bit moar complicated than I had anticipated, and as Denise saw, I had a problem with the readings that come when two hearts are using the machine. I'll work on this. My concern was that it was difficult to demonstrate the level of coherence that I can get to when I'm doing my heart dance routine alone. So when Denise posted that we were working on the demonstration, I was dealing with a number of unexpected glitches.
I spent about 4 hours spinning coherent heart waves near DC...

One of the things I'll be demonstrating at DemocracyFest is the ability to consciously create ascending harmonic waves in the heart, by using the "Heart Tuner" Gizmo I've been experimenting with. I was playing the Spectrum game while listening to the soundtrack to "Saturday Night Fever" last night and watching how the conscious manipulation of my electrical field produced wave after wave of coherent charge.
As I've said, when I arrive at DemocracyFest on August 15th, I'll be bringing the future of Civilization with me. That is, after all what Deaniacs have been doing since 2003!
Hope you've got your tickets!!!
Thanks to those who've donated to my Virtual Guitar Case to make this trip a little easier for Jackie and I. If you'd like to contribute please hit the "Donations" button in the sidebar of my hompage.

Good Afternoon Folks,
Gizmo, my guitar and I are going to DemocracyFest on the 15th. As a member of the DFest board, my travel and accomodations are covered, and selling a few CDs while I'm there will probably get me some pocket money, so this isn't a request for a scholarship.
However, to do this I'm taking 4 days off in the middle of my slow season, and Jackie is just thrilled that I'm "going off to Washington to sing love songs to beautiful women, when you're so broke you can't even pay attention!"
Anyway, I'm bringing the future of civilization AND a great show to the event. If folks could toss a few duckets in my virtual guitar case it would be greatly appreciated and paid forward.
You'll find it in the sidebar on my blog.
Anything that falls into my case before I leave stays with my better Two Thirds. That would be a huge comfort to her
I've also posted this at the watercooler.
Thanks to all for hearing me out.
Namaste,
David

Folks may want to review my proposal in the previous public square that was burried within minutes by one TeganR, who posted 5 threads in 10 minutes.

Friday Public Square: Before We Leave...
I just read that several people are about to give up hope on this space, and much of it is for good reason that HQ seems to be slow in understanding. Your role, HQ is provide the tools. Our role is to use them as reasonable people in a long standiing Community.
So before everybody gets so fed up that BFA just disolves, I would like to offer up a simple suggestion, because Thankful was really on to something when she brought back open threads. So I'm proposing a simple "job action" that would last until we get to talk to Jim Dean, and here's how it would work.
Starting with this thread, let there be three "Public Squares" each day. Say at 8am, 6pm and midnight. Let each member recommend that thread only, and only post comments in the "Public Square."
In the Public Square we can discuss the main threads, and if anyone wants to read comments about their personal threads or Staff threads they have to come to the Public Square because this is the only place where comments will be found.
This will return the Great American Conversation to something very close to the thing we actually had in the beginning, and would pretty much circumvent Draconia without shutting the place down.
Bottom line. From now on, we only comment in the Public Square.
All in favor?
Public Square: Gizmo and Me (Open Thread)
Folks here and at HEP know that for a little over a year now I've been experimenting with something called "Cardiofeedback." Specifically, I've been using a device invented by Dan Winter, called The Heart Tuner, which I refer to as "Gizmo."
The nick name "Gizmo" comes from my first communication with Winter in early 1997, when I began looking for the latest research in biofeedback. Based on a comment in the press by Dr. Timothy Leary, I was looking for a "Grok Box" or some "Gizmo" that can locate the human "Soul."
As I'm bringing Gizmo to DemFest, I wanted to give folks an overview of what I've learned so far.
