What do you see ?
For any candidate for office, non-verbal communication often lingers in voters minds far longer than their spoken words.
If you were running for office, what would you want viewers to see, whether in person or on television ?
Here, for example, is a take on the 2008 presidential campaign by Andy Hiller and his Hiller Instinct on the subject of Image :

Image campaign
They've already spoken so much it may be too much to remember. But you won't forget what they look like when they say it.
As McCain and Obama battle over the issues, their images are just as important. Right now, it's no contest.
After eight days in eight foreign countries, Obama has a photo album worthy of the White House. He may say he's just a candidate, but these pictures scream Oval Office. In Boston's South End, he's already Abraham Obama.
John McCain tried to get on top of the photo ops with a stop at a California oil rig, but he looked over-dressed and stiff in a Pennsylvania supermarket. His pictures with former President Bush look like two senior citizens who no longer walk when they play golf. And all his town meetings produce the same stale photos.
Even worse for McCain is how his supporters appear right behind him... tired and bored... while Obama's are in a full-throated roar.

... it it out of control ?! (find out Next Week, when Tabloid McCain goes to summer school -- you're never too old to learn somehing 9about yourself):

Anybody else get a letter from Charles about the new blog?

" you're never too old to learn something about yourself"
How true, rdorgan, and this blog has been one huge mirror to help propel us into greater growth spiritually as well as reflecting back our foibles, follies and unresolved anger, should we wish to contemplate those things.
I don't know what happened with Spears, Hilton and Obama. Was it an Obama smear by McC?
Yes, McCain once again shows that he disrespects women -- in this case Britney and Paris. They have suffered enough.

We have two open threads. The other one is on the main page.
I would think puddle, anni, huron and others would have received the same letter from Charles.
No, I'm not going to share his personal note to me. It's private business.
- OK if it's private, then keep it that way.

I caught your middle of the night note just now. I don't know if anyone goes to HQ anymore to help out. I know listener is pretty busy with her job, personal business and her wonderful family. Too bad, I have a feeling they could use some of her delicious brownies :) If I was there I'd try to help out some, but being 3300 miles away isn't too helpful.
