I have a time-refined skill of talking to other people who may disagree with my point of view - without sparks flying. I believe that even the worst of humanity has a tiny spark of good in them, and the key to changing peoples' minds - perhaps just a degree at a time - is to find some area of agreement, establish a dialog....and then segueing into areas of disagreement.
