Writing, Native Americans, graphics/art, theology, psychology,
Favorite Quote:
My present favorite is: “In our nation’s prevailing culture, there exists right now a considerable confusion between prosperity and success. — so much so that avarice is frequently confused with a work ethic. Barbara Kingsolver, “The Good Farmer” Utne Reader, July/August, 2004
About Me:
I am 71 - too soon 72 - and am volunteering for six months at the Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, with the National Park Service (woefully underfunded!) in Ganado, Arizona. My husband was the Great Grandson of Don Lorenzo Hubbell - who was a Senator from Arizona early in the 20th Century - at the time Arizona was admitted as a State.
I have degrees in Theology and a Master's in Pastoral Counseling. I spent a year in Nicaragua in 1985, and was with the group captured on the Rio San Juan on August 7th and 8th, 1985. I am a political activist as much as my aging bones will let me be. I am passionately opposed to the Bush administration, and fear his last second ploys fot this election.
