50-State Canvass - April 29th in Northern Virginia

At last night's Arlington/Alexandria DFA meeting, I agreed to help organize our very own participation in the 50 State Canvas taking place Saturday, April 29th. So here goes!

First, some answers: Yes, that is the one sponsored by the DNC and Gov. Dean; yes, it is totally separate from DFA. But who are we kidding -- we can't take back our country if folks are sitting home on election day! or have no clue what the Democratic Party stands for. (sorry third party folks, this is about reality.) This is about doing something right now in our own community.

So, here's the plan. Rather than form a single group that may have limited impact, I'm making it super simple for you to find the group that best fits your location. Here is a run-down of the Northern Virginian canvas groups already established. As we get closer to the big day, I'll update with new lists.
