End the Occupation Now! billboard sponsored by Northwest NJ for Democracy has been erected on Rt 46  facing west near Johnson Rd in Independence. You can see pictues of the billboard here:

Many thanks to Paul Eisenman and Bergen Grassroot for the concept, design, and execution.

So far we have collected several hundred dollars to keep the billboard up or put it up in another location, depending on availability . If you can help out please let us know.

NWNJ for Democracy is sponsoring a billboard that will go up on Rt 46  facing west just east of Johnson Rd (I guess this is Independence)  starting May 21st. You can see a preview of the billboard here:

On April 4th, Northwest NJ for Democracy will kickoff  20 months of political action culminating with the election of a Democratic President and Congress in 2008.

Tops on the agenda - election of officers, discussion of a "bring themhome" billboard, and planning a fund-raising event to help pay for it. All are welcome - lets get started.

Insteat of our regular monthly meetup, let's do a movie and dinner on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 7:00 PM. We'll watch the film "Sir, No Sir!" about veterans who opposed the Vietnam War, then have dinner at a place TBD. Let's celebrate the holidays and the hard-won victories in this year's election.
