DFA Trust Quarterly Call - June 29
Linked to groups: DFA Trust
Hello, DFA Trustees! We'd like to schedule the 2nd DFA Trust Conference Call for Thursday, June 29th. Please let Holly Webster or me know what time of day is your preference.
We have a goal of raising $1 million by the end of June 30... we're getting closer, thanks to all of you and your continued support.
If you live in Connecticut, DFA and MoveOn Political Action are having a rally in New Haven on Thursday - check the blog. Jim, Tom, Chris, and several DFA interns are driving down from Vermont.
Holly has posted some photos from recent DFA fundraising events in Pasadena and Seattle... Jim and I also went to fundraisers in Portola Valley and San Francisco about 3 weeks ago. Thanks to the trustees, DFA supporters, and those new to DFA for coming out!
We ended the fundraising swing in Seattle, where donor/member Dal LaMagna -- after hearing Jim talk about DFA's work at the local, statewide, and national level, issued a challenge: "I believe in what DFA is doing. I will match dollar for dollar every contribution that comes in from this point out!" -- Jim was speechless, and people were motivated to give a little more.
Looking forward to talking with you on June 29.

DFA Trust conference callThanks to all who joined Jim Dean, Holly, and me on our first DFA Trust conference call! I apologize for this post going up so late. Monica - I understand about not being a phone person. I'm going to be updating this blog more regularly with updates.
Our DFA-Trust membership drive generated 58 new Trustees!! Let me repeat that -- 58 current DFA donors have signed up to make monthly contributions.
Your monthly contributions give us a firm foundation, and allow us to plan for the future, knowing we have this financial stream coming in every month. THANK YOU!
On the call, Jim gave an update of our current membership on DFA-Link -- number of groups, NEW members through the Roots Tourney (congratulations NJ for Democracy!), and discussed some local races. He answered questions about DFA's positions in some races (AZ congressional race with DFA-Phoenix supported Larry King), talked about the endorsement process. And also urged people to come to DemocracyFest in July!
Please call me or email me, or Holly, at any time. We want to hear from you.

Friday conference call
Linked to groups: DFA Trust
I'm so excited to see your names on the RSVP list for our call with Jim on Friday. The DFA Trust -- already strong in numbers and contributions -- is coming to life with our voices!I just returned from Atlanta, where we had a fundraiser -- 35 people from all over the city, suburbs, several DFA-Link groups attended. . . Including Minnie Ruffin. When Minnie called to get directions, she said, "I'm Minnie Ruffin, and I'm a DFA Trust member."
Minnie hadn't been to a DFA event in a while, so we were thrilled to meet her. Thanks, Minnie!
Talk to you on Friday.
