11th District Forum on Iraq War on Monday; Want to help plan Arl/Alex events?

On Monday evening, the two Democratic 11th District
candidates (running to beat Tom Davis) will be part of a
forum on the Iraq War (see item 2 below). Will you be there
to make your views known and help elect a new representative
who will fight to bring our troops home and protect our
country?

Midday Tuesday, former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) will be in
Pentagon City to promote a saver's society (see item 3)!
Meanwhile, we don't currently have upcoming plans for the
next Arlington/Alexandria meeting (ignore any automatic
listing you might have seen for Tuesday), so reply to this
message if you'd like to help turn your ideas into an event!

Also, Democracy for Virginia is about to have its officer
election (see item 4). See the details and join DFV (free)

On Monday, May 15, there will be a Forum on the Iraq War
with the two Democratic candidates seeking the nomination to
run against Republican Tom Davis in the 11th Congressional
District of Virginia. The two candidates vying for the
Democratic nomination are Andrew Hurst and Ken Longmyer.
It's a great chance to share your views on the war with the
two candidates and hear what they have to say on the
subject.

The event is co-sponsored by the following Virginia
grassrooots groups: the VIRGINIA CHAPTER OF PROGRESSIVE
DEMOCRATS OF AMERICA, the VIRGINIA GRASSROOTS COALITION, and
