11th District Forum on Iraq War TONIGHT; Arl Dem School Board Caucus Saturday

TONIGHT is the forum on the Iraq War with both Democratic
candidates running to beat Tom Davis in the 11th District
(see item 2 below). Will you be there to make your views
known and help elect a new representative who will fight to
bring our troops home and protect our country?

Midday TOMORROW, former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) will be in
Pentagon City to promote a saver's society (see item 3)! We
have no upcoming plans for Arlington/Alexandria meetings
(ignore any notice about tomorrow), so reply to this if you
have ideas you'd like to turn into an event!

On Saturday, Arlington Democrats have an unassembled caucus
("firehouse primary") to endorse a candidate for School
Board. Learn about both candidates, then take about 20
minutes Saturday between 2 and 9 pm to vote for your choice
(requires signing a pledge that you haven't already decided
to support someone else for November):

Dear Member,

Are you happy with our nation's current involvement and
situation in Iraq? Probably not... and that's true across
the political spectrum of Americans!

What can you do about it? First of all, help elect
representatives to Congress who will work hard for a plan to
get us out and bring our troops home to defend our own
country! The Democratic candidates for the 11th District
(to run against Tom Davis) will participate in a forum on
the Iraq War next Monday evening at the Mason District
Government Center (see item 4).

Fairfax DFA meets in Oakton tomorrow night to work on
getting Tom Davis's voting record out to voters in the 11th
District, and VGC hosts a program about a living wage in
Virginia tonight (see items 3 and 2 below). Also, keep
watching for an invitation soon to join DC for Democracy's
Change the Course campaign to force Congressional debate
about exit strategy bills.
