Earlier this morning, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a decisive 5-3 ruling, struck down Texas laws which attempted to shutter many abortion clinics and sharply limit abortion access in the state.
Democracy for America, which has long held that access to legal and safe abortion services is a core progressive value, released the following statement from its Executive Director, Charles Chamberlain, reacting to the court ruling:
