This morning, Democracy for America (DFA) announced its endorsement of Eric Kingson for Congress in New York’s 24th Congressional District.

DFA  is a member-driven, people-powered progressive PAC with 111,750 members in New York  and one million members nationwide committed to taking on income inequality, money in politics, and structural racism.

Statement from Democracy for America's Executive Director Charles Chamberlain on today's endorsement of Kingson:

“As a national leader in the fight to expand Social Security benefits for struggling seniors, Eric Kingson is the true progressive in this race and the only candidate ready to address America's growing retirement security crisis from day one.

"DFA members and Eric Kingson have worked together in the battle against income inequality for almost a decade and we're excited to join Eric's campaign today and take the fight for big ideas like paid family leave, Medicare for All, and Social Security expansion all the way to Congress.” -- Charles Chamberlain, Executive Director, Democracy for America

Statement from Eric Kingson on receiving Democracy for America’s endorsement:

"As a lifelong advocate for working families and seniors I am honored to be endorsed by Democracy for America. DFA is a leading voice in the national progressive movement, fighting to take back our democracy, rebuild our economy, and create a more just society. I have been a proud ally in DFA's work and I plan to continue that work as a member of Congress." -- Eric Kingson

DFA’s endorsement of Kingson brings with it a one-million member-strong grassroots army that has knocked hundreds of thousands of doors, made over 11.1 million phone calls, and raised and contributed more than $36.6 million to help elect 843 progressive candidates nationwide since 2004.
