Recognize a Progressive Caucus in the Indiana Democratic State Central Committee

About the Petition

This year, the Indiana Democratic Party will elect new leadership. In order to build a stronger Democratic Party, we ask the State Central Committee to officially recognize a Progressive Caucus whose purpose will be to build a broad coalition of progressives across Indiana and encourage their participation in the Democratic Party. A Progressive Caucus will represent the activists who tirelessly work to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in all 92 counties. A Progressive Caucus will remain committed to leaving no Republican unchallenged, working to find, support and elect socially progressive, fiscally responsible Democrats who stand for equal opportunity, strong community, broad prosperity, effective government, public education, universal healthcare, and justice for all.
