About the Petition

Today, in Newtown, CT, one of the deadliest shootings in U.S. history occurred in a kindergarten. 3 days ago, a gunman opened fire at a shopping in Portland, killing three. In July, 12 cinemagoers were gunned down in Colorado. We're fed up.

We are citizens who've had enough. We are parents and children scared for our families. We are voters ready to act.

For too long, our politicans have shied away from this issue. For too long, our politicians have failed to stand up to the gun lobby. No more.

We want gun control back on the agenda. We demand leaders who will press for meaningful reforms, and progressive organisations that will support them.

They'll tell us it's too soon. It's always too soon. Until the next shooting. Then it's too late.
