The 2004 Dean Dozen

Shortly after the formation of Democracy for America in March of 2004, Gov. Howard Dean announced the first of many Dean Dozens. Throughout the year, Gov. Dean traveled around the country in support of these candidates. While 2004 was a tough year for Democrats nationally. But at the local and state level, Democracy for America and Gov. Dean had good reason to celebrate 2004's election results. Many DFA-endorsed Dean Dozen and DFA-supported candidates won elections at all levels of government, throughout the country.
