Description:
"Democracy is what happens between elections."
Our mission is to get socially progressive, fiscally responsible candidates elected to all levels of government by empowering the grassroots. But we also believe that active and informed citizens are crucial to reforming this country and rescuing our government from special interests. Through our meetings and events, we aim to inform, energize, and train ordinary citizens so that they may become active participants in our democracy.
We meet at 7pm on the first Wednesday of every month. Meetings take place at the North Asheville Library (on Merrimon Ave. between the Fresh Market and Beaver Lake). Come and join us!
