People of Bridgeport United

A DFA Group that was created by Jon Pulverenti

Founded in 2011.

About this group

We believe in Bridgeport. Once a mighty industrial mecca of blue collar manufacturing, this city has been a mear shadow of its former glorious self for over 60 years now. We know this city can be turned around. We know that by working together we can create a community that works. We know it's not going to happen over night and that it will take a lot of hard work and sacrifice, but we believe that determined and united people working for a just cause will succeed. We want Bridgeport to be a great place to live and work and raise families again; where children are loved, nurtured and protected, where our senior citizens are cared for and valued, where workers can earn a living wage and where people respect each other and are able to live in relative peace and security. This group represents our committment, our determination and Bridgeport's best chance since Mayor McLevy to come together as one people, with one voice, to exert our collective will on the process of government at all levels, and make Bridgeport, Connecticut a great place to live and work once again. Please join us by becoming a member of the People of Bridgeport United group on the Democracy for America (DFA) platform. Democracy for America is a national political action committee dedicated to supporting and promoting progressive grassroots activism including support for but also material political and structural reform of the Democratic Party. Thank you.
