Let's use the DFA-Link
Linked to groups: Flagstaff DFA
I think this is a great feature of the DFA-Link - blogging! We all have great info to share, so this may be a better way than using the yahoo groups. Shall we discuss this at our next meeting?

By Sandra Verthein on Apr 16, 2006 9:18 AM EDTHello Arizona DFAers! I was browsing through some of the DFA Link groups in Arizona, and your post about using DFA Link caught my eye. I head a DFA Link group in Chicago, and our group uses DFA Link exclusively for all of our group activities and communication. However, most of the other groups in Illinois have seperate yahoo groups or web sites or other side lists, and I am really, really trying to get people to start moving all that stuff to DFA Link, especially now that they are adding so many new features that make DFA Link a very valuable tool for online organizing.
Using DFA Link makes your group SO MUCH more accesible to new people, plus people like me who are "out of towners" but may for whatever reason are interested in learning more about your group. We will be able, through your group page, have some sense of who you are and what you do. And it makes you part of a community of 20,000 other activists, instead of a group of 22 lone souls trying to make a difference.
Anyway, the reason I was looking for DFA Link groups in Arizona (most of which, unfortunatly, seem to barely be using DFA Link) is that I am very interested in the "Clean Money" campaign reform that was done in your state, and what your perspective is on how it is working. I am interested in this because I would like to explore trying to get something like this passed in Illinois, but would like to know from folks "on the ground" what they think about it.
You can reach me via DFA Link, or post to this blog and I will check back. If you wish, you can also check out my group's DFA Link page at:
