Loop DFA

Attendance at our meetings had dwindled in the past year or two, and hadn't bounced back during the recent Presidential campaign (due largely to the very effective network built by the Obama staff, which we admire and applaud--we're glad it worked!). So after six years of supporting Progressive causes, we decided--on Inauguration Night--that it was time to make some changes.

Those changes are still under discussion among several of us. We may dissolve the chapter, we may move it to a new location, or we may re-start it where it is. But meanwhile, we've quit holding Loop DFA meetings.

We strongly recommend you consider joining Northside DFA, which is a very large and very active chapter. Its meetings often attract 40-50 people, it has numerous committees with a range of different purposes, and its calendar is studded with significant events. Members come from all over the North Side--Rogers Park, Evanston, the North Shore, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, etc. (Many of your fellow Loop DFAers are also members of NDFA.)
