The goals of Democracry for Maryland are to increase involvement of all Marylanders in political action and grassroots activism; to promote transparency in government and political processes free of corruption and responsive to the American people; to promote fiscally responsible, socially progressive policies at all levels of government; to educate and to train citizen activists; to provide a forum at the state level for the coordination of Democracy for America inspired groups; to serve as a magnet for building coalitions with other progressive organizations; and to work for freedom, equality and fairness for all people.
