Chicagoland Supporters of Barack Obama for President

As Senator Obama's Presidental Exploratory Committee begins ramping up their efforts, he and his team are going to need a grassroots support network. Being our senator, it is up to us, his local supporters, to provide a solid foundation that can foster growth throughout the country.

The goal of our group is to coordinate our efforts to best support the Exploratory Committee. At this point there are two areas in which to focus our efforts. First, we should encourage people to sign up at his website http://www.barack... . The second effort needs to focus on introducing Senator Obama to those not familiar with his views. We have posted some of the Senator's remarks on various topics which can be accessed on the files tab of the menu to the left.

For the time being, we are the only group in the Chicago area supporting Barack on meetup.com. Hopefully as we grow we will organically diverge into smaller, more effective groups in specific areas of the region.
