How have they gone so far?
Linked to groups: 2007 Training Academy Organizers
From the schedule I can see that two Training Academies will have happened by the end of this weekend. I'd like to hear from the organizers how they went.
Sorry to take so long to get to this. It was a fantastic training! I've been twice...back in '04 and then just this month. Naturally, it's gotten so detailed and so much better and I thought it was great the first time.

All of my members that were there loved it. People from SEIU raved about it. I have actually kept in touch with some people that came here from out of state. All positive feedback from them. I've stayed in touch with SEIU members I met.
It was an excellent experience and it made so much of what we do really make sense. We are all active and out there doing our best. Now we can do it better. Now we can not only understand the numbers, we learned how to plan with them.
Arshad is so very good at explaining things and so energetic he keeps your interest and gets you motivated without obviously trying or any patronizing rah, rah stuff. It's just totally interesting. It covers so many subjects...all things we may touch lightly on like the Media or Fundraising. Now we know how to utilize them better.
The speakers he got from SEIU were all knowlegeable and good in all the different sessions...those were a great idea, too. Kept it to a smaller group and easier for all to participate. Then the manual is a treasure to have and refer back to.
I could go on but I think you get my drift. If you see a training anywhere near you or anywhere you can get decent airfare to...just go! You won't be sorry at all. You will think I can't believe I might have passed this up!
