This is group is designed for DFAers, bloggers and friends across the country to plan smaller offsite gatherings to keep up the spirit of community, connection, and fun!

In addition to the yearly DemocracyFest, we plan on having smaller offsites to bond with our community in person. Hypatia actually organized a great blogger's BBQ this past Autumn in DC.

We are in the planning stages of our first offsite for this group, and have not picked the location or month yet. So, that means if you have ideas on location with links to lodging, please post. If you would like to volunteer to help organize vitually, please let me know and I will add you to our list of organizers.

Parameters:
1) Next Spring.
2) Rural
3) "Cheap" Airport ($350 and under)
4) Within 2 hour drive (or shuttle) of cheap airport.
5) Low cost housing available (depends on what that means for everyone- $70 and under?)
6) Camping available.
7) Open to bloggers, family and friends.
8) Roughly 100 people as a target.
