The National Young Feminist Leadership is a time where FMLA of USC heads down to the Capital of the US to meet with other feminists to discuss the issues of feminism of today. It is also a great way as a group to bond, and share experiences on the lengthy eight hour car ride to DC. Our diverse group of feminists, and one of the largest groups at the conference go to DC in hopes of education, bonding, and even some sightseeing. At the conference we break up into workshops, and discuss reproductive rights, LGBT Issues, educational rights for women, immigration reform, and what we can do to make changes in our own community.
This year we brought eighteen members making us the second largest group to attend the conference. Our FMLA has served our campus for eight years, and attended the conference for four years. You may be aware of FMLA in our role of being proponents of planned parenthood, LGBT rights, and hosting the fabulous Vagina Monologues. If you are looking to join FMLA our meets are at 7 PM on Wednesday, and we also have a Facebook page at FMLA Group Page, and FMLA Page for Non-Members
