For the past four weeks College Democrats at USC have been participating in phone banks every Monday and Wednesday from 7-8:30 supporting Elizabeth Colbert Busch who is running to be the Congressional Representative for South Carolina district 1.

They are excited to report that she won the Democratic primary last night with 96% of the vote. It looks like her Republican opponent in the general election will be our former governor, Mark Sanford. Despite his scandals he is well known and has many financial supporters, thus he will be a challenging opponent to beat. However, the College Democrats at USC are prepared to keep fighting and look forward to continuing their phone banks in support of Elizabeth Colbert Bush.

A group of College Democrats will be traveling to Charleston this weekend to help with the campaign in a more direct way.

The general election is on May 7th and the College Democrats at USC welcome anyone who desires to help with the campaign in any way.
