Hey everyone. I know it's been quite some time since we've done anything out here in the Gresham area. I just wanted to take a moment to check in with everyone and give you some updates.

First, we've not really met in some time. However, many of us joined an organization called the East Suburban Democrats. Our activities are quite similar to what we used to do at the meetups - we even meet every month. Many months we'll have elected officials, candidates, etc. come and speak.

Our September meeting is tomorrow, which is too late of notice for most of you, I'm sure. It's a potluck-style picnic. If you're interested in the details, just contact me and I can let you know. I'm at 503-875-1049. If I don't pick up, please leave a message since I'll be at a lot of activities tomorrow. I'd just leave the details here, but we've got to know ahead of time how many people are coming so we can plan accordingly since it's a picnic this time instead of our usual meeting.

If I remember correctly, we meet the first Monday of the month at Main Street Pizza in downtown Gresham. I'll get the date/location for sure (sometimes we have to move it) and post it in our calendar here.

It's the only contested race on the ballot. I'm taking on an incumbent with the hope of bringing a greater voice for the community to the council.
