I hereby offer my services to the campaign.  My experience is with 1 mayoral campaign as a volunteer; responsible for everything from stuffing envelopes to data entry and phone banking.  Next was Campaign Administrator and Tresurer for school board campaigns (2 years). Also responsible for event coordination and keeping of the candidates' calendars up to the minute.  Wrote letters to the editor that were published most of the time.  Ghost wrote letters for candidates and other members of the campaign.

I live in Boca Raton but if you are interested in my services I am willing to travel within reason.  Excellent references may be provided if required.

In any event I wish you only good luck in your endeavor.

Sincerely yours,

Mrs.Louise Friedman

Mitzy is a two year old Brittany Spaniel/Chocolate Lab mix.  She is a wonderful dog who loves to play, especially fetch, and loves to go for rides in the car.  She knows how to sit, shake and heel.

Mitzy's family loved her very much.  They had her spayed, as all responsible pet-owners should, and took her to the Vet for the least little problem.  Mitzy was a member of the family, and when a member of your family is sick, you take them to the doctor.

However, about six months ago, the father of Mitzy's family lost his job.  The result was so financially devastating that they could no longer afford to care for Mitzy and were forced to surrender her to the Missaukee Humane Society.

Given the exponential descent of our economy, Mitzy's story has become all too common.  But, there is something you can do to help.  Missaukee Humane Society (MHS) is a small shelter in rural northern Michigan, dependent on contributions to continue their mission of mercy.  They are one of the only no-kill animal shelters left in Michigan, and are currently running on a deficit, at full capacity.  Many mornings, the staff arrives to find abandoned pets, left overnight by owners who can no longer afford to feed or care for them.

Right now, MHS is attempting to win a $10,000 prize from Adopt-a-Pet.com.  Please, can you spare 30 seconds of your time to vote for MHS, by clicking on...

$10,000 could save literally hundreds of abandoned pets - Pets that give us nothing but unconditional love in exchange for an occasional pat on the head, a squeaky toy to play with, and a couple of bowls filled with food and fresh water.

Because MHS is in a rural, sparsely populated area, they need as many votes as possible from all across the state, and all across the country.  Please vote now at...

Time is running out, so please don't wait.  The contest ends January 31, 2009, at 11:59pm.  After you vote, you will have an opportunity to forward information about the contest to as many people as possible so that they can join you in this worthy cause.  Vote, spread the word, be a voice for the voiceless...

I thank you, and Mitzy thanks you.

As our economic crisis continues to worsen, some of the most vulnerable among us can not speak for themselves - Unwanted and abandoned pets.  Missaukee Humane Society (MHS) is a small shelter in rural Northern Michigan, dependent on contributions to continue their mission of mercy.  MHS is one of the only no-kill animal shelters left in Michigan.  They are currently running on a deficit, and at full capacity.  Many mornings, the staff arrives to find abandoned pets, left overnight by owners who can no longer afford to feed or care for them.

The one absolute, unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world—the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous—is his dog…a man’s dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he can be near his master’s side. He will kiss the hand that had no food to offer, he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens. If fortune drives the master forth an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him to guard against danger, to fight against his enemies. And when the last scene of all comes, and death takes the master in its embrace, and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by his graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even to death.

Happy Thanksgiving from Missaukee County (Michigan) :)

To all my friends at Democracy for America,

May your Thanksgiving be filled with Love, Faith and Laughter.

Best wishes,

Richard Renner

Missaukee County Commissioner-elect

Membership Chair, Missaukee County Democratic Party

Strange is our situation here upon earth.  Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to a divine purpose.  From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know:  That we are here for the sake of others...for the countless unknown souls with whose fate we are connected by a bond of sympathy.  Many times a day, I realize how much my outer and inner life is built upon the labors of people, both living and dead, and how earnestly I must exert myself in order to give in return as much as I have received.

CHALLENGE: ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT to raise $380! Help the only Democratic County Commissioner in Missaukee County (Michigan).

On Tuesday, November 4th, history was made in Missaukee County. I was fortunate enough to defeat a Republican incumbent for County Commissioner in the second most Republican county in the state of Michigan. However, as with many campaigns, I have debt to pay off, and several final expenses to pay. I need to raise $380 in 3 days. Can I count on you? Making a contribution is easier than ever. OFFICIALLY ENDORSED BY MID-MICHIGAN DEMOCRACY FOR AMERICA (MMDfA)!

“Richard REALLY knows his stuff and has specific plans for improving his county.”

As I was quoted in our local daily, the Cadillac News, following my victory...

"The voters...have made a determination that the status quo is no longer acceptable, that we expect more accountability, greater openness, and transparency in county government."

Please, help me pay off my debt by raising $380 in 3 days. Just click on the link below, and make a secure, online contribution using PayPal...

Petition Delivery to Congressman Wexler

The Congressman will be speaking at Century Village, Hillsboro Rd.,Deerfiled Beach. I think we should have a DFA presence in attendance as we deliver the Super Delegates petition. He was not available in his office on the Big Day but his assistant recommended, since he would not be back in his office for over a week, that we hand deliver it personally.

Anyone who has buttons, signs, whatever, please bring them along.

Don't miss this opportunity = no doubt there will be press coverage and it would be great advertising for DFA.

The Legacy of the Roosevelts

One of the main missions of GWB has been to destroy the legacy of social consciousness and Democracy in it's truest form ... for the people, by the people, etc.

JFK is turning in his grave (Bobby too) to see this nation so divided and the practice of involving Church and State in governing America.

I believe that there is an answer right around the corner and that DFA should get behind it - that would be urging Al Gore to run for 2008.  He's come a long way baby - he's the superstar Howard Dean would have been but for the vicious tongue of Karl Rove, et al.

Al Gore is a man of the people and the planet and would restore this country to it's originally validated Constitution.

Are you ready to get together and take action?  If not you, who?

For the past year, I have been involved in several liberal organizations, attending and organizing rallies, attending and hosting parties and meetings for MoveOn.org and our local Democratic Party and, for the past few weeks I have been canvassing and phone banking.  All of these activities put together are not as important as progressive radio and the one or two progressive TV hosts (like Stewart,  Colbert and Olbermann).  Corporate TV news networks need to be pressured to stop caving into Karl Rove talking points and tell the truth .The few allies we have in the media should be thanked and encouraged to continue and, in the case of Air America, supported with $$.

Democracy for America, Palm Beach County has officially endorsed Mark Pafford for Palm Beach County Commissioner, District 6

Mark is grassroots candidate that needs our help! Mark is running for County Commissioner to make a difference and lead the county in the right direction. Mark has a tremendous amount of Integrity. This is a very important strength because District 6 has suffered recently due to Tony Massilotti, our sitting Commissioner. He has been absent from meetings, lobbied for land deals he silently made millions of dollars on, and has other ethics concerns which are currently under investigation. Mark has been in public service his entire career--he has never been a developer unlike two of the other Democratic Candidates in the race. Once elected, Mark's only job will be our "full time" commissioner.

Mark has both the Leadership and the Experience to represent us well. Working for both a US Congressman and Florida State Representative Mark has acquired a strong background in the legislative process. For the past 10 years, he has worked as the chief executive officer of the Alzheimer's Association Southeast Chapter. He is also endorsed by the North Palm Beach County National Organization for Women, Palm Beach County Human Rights Coalition, and the AFL-CIO.

Mark's entire VOLUNTEER campaign team is made up of DFA members and union members! Let's show him that DFA can win this election. Please show your support by attending this event. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. If you can not attend, but would still like to contribute, please send contributions to:
