Mission Statement
DFA Boston is a grassroots organization that unites diverse citizens in the Boston Area around the principles of civic empowerment, public accountability and transparency in government. We are a local group of Democracy for America, and share its commitment to supporting fiscally responsible, socially progressive candidates at all levels of government. Our goal is to promote grassroots efforts to advance progressive policies and candidates at the local, state, and national levels.
Strategies
1. Recruit, endorse, and support candidates in local, state, and national races, who share our principles and goals.
2. Engage our members by identifying volunteer opportunities and encouraging participation in political committees and community organizations.
3. Educate the public and our members about candidates and issues through regular newsletters and other information resources.
4. Demand that our political system is run in an ethical and transparent fashion.
