Welcome to DFA Night School's 2007 Summer Semester! DFA Night School is our free, interactive, online training program. This session will focus on the goals and strategy of developing a finance plan for your campaign or organization.
Progressives frequently find themselves daunted by the task of raising necessary funds for campaigns or causes. Nonetheless, the ability to fund the progressive movement is one of the fundamental skills required to sustain the work we do.
Join us for the first session of the Night School as we train activists on the basics of fundraising - how to set finance benchmarks, target donors, build your list, and how to construct 'the ask.' We will be joined by the former Executive Director of the Arkansas Democratic Party, Michael Cook.
Our first session starts Tuesday, June 12th at 8:30pm Eastern time (check your timezone). This is an hour long training session. It will consist of a conference call with an accompanying downloadable slideshow which you can save to your computer in advance or view in real time.
You are not required to be online during the presentation, you simply need to dial into the conference call with a regular phone. The call-in number will be sent to you via email before the event, as long as you have RSVP'd.
Make sure to check out our other two sessions covering specific tools and tactics for raising funds:
