Agenda:
The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 27, Maryland DEMOCRATIC Party, and DEMOCRACY for Baltimore host a Baltimore stop on the "Change WAL*MART, Change America" tour on 3.August. The rally will take place at the boat dock of Broening Park/Middle Branch Park – just north of Harbor Hospital Center and just south of the gargantuan WAL*MART/Sam's Club complex at Port Covington and the Hanover Street bridge.
The political rally on corporate accountability and responsibility will showcase several candidates for office this Autumn. Former Congressperson Kweisi Mfume, candidate for U.S. Senate, has already accepted an invitation. Other invitees are Senate candidates, Dr. Allan Lichtman and Congressman Ben Cardin. Jim DEAN, Chairman, DEMOCRACY for America, will speak. Our rally will focus on Governor Ehrlich's close relationship with WAL*MART and his failures which have hurt Maryland's hard-working, middle-class families.
