Actor turned writer and community activist. Involved in community organizing in Brooklyn for the last 15 years, focusing on empowerment of African American working class, and on issue of vi9lence towards women in the African American community

Goals:

To include Brooklyn in the process of moving Congress towadrs a progressive agenda. To address the horrific economic conditions in Brooklyn, bring affordable housing and single payer healthcare to the fore. To end the War in Iraq and help move the US into a cooperative relationship with the rest of the world. To address the greenhouse gas crisi sfacing the world

My campaign is entirely grassroots. It is staffed by volunteers, run mostly by volunteers, and funded by grassroots contributions. We accept no money from PACs or lobbyists.

I support the DFA program in its entirety. I believe in a foreign policy which promotes mutual respect among nations, an economic program which reduces the disparity between rich and poor and brings about truly universal healthcare, an end to discrimination based on race, national origin, sex, age, disability or sexual orientation.
