John McClelland for State Representative District 64

Background:

I am involved in the local county Democratic Party, as a former committee chair and was recently a precinct chair. I am a former campaign manager. I am a former candidate for Dallas City Council. I am currently the President of Stonewall Democrats of Denton County.

I work in the transportation logistics industry currently. I have been in Texas for over 6 years. I got here as soon as I could.

Goals:

I am running because I believe we need a change in Denton County and all of Texas.

Issues:

Improved education and greater teacher pay

Greater access to healthcare and insurance

Ending cronyism and corruption in the Legislature

Grassroots Support:

All of our county activists are grassroots. The local DFA, Young Dems, Stonewall, students, parents, etc. will all play a part in the game plan on the ground for our campaign.

DFA Values:

We should be providing for better education for all children in Texas. All citizens deserve equal access to healthcare, as well as health insurance.

Our government agencies need to set fiscal priorities, instead of wasting money on ad campaigns.
