RE-ELECTION OF JUANITA LEWIS

Who am I?

I was born and raised in Red Bank, NJ. I graduated from Red Bank Regional High School and obtained my BS and BA from Rutgers University. I earned my MBA from Seton Hall University. I have worked for 20+ years in various finance, accounting and project management positions. I am currently employed as a Business Manager for IEEE, a technical association. I was elected to the Red Bank Borough Board of Education in 2003 and resigned in 2008 when I was elected to Borough Council.

Why am I running?

One term is just simply not enough. My re-election will allow me to use the knowledge that I have obtained and expand upon it to continue the focused and effective efforts for improvements. I want to continue the efficient growth and development of our town using technology and smart planning while balancing the importance of quality of life for our citizens.

My Goals

Economic stimulus-Red Bank must continue to be New Jersey Shore "destination". Our Downtown must remain viable and vibrant. We currently have a Community Vision Committee that is tasked with tying the community and the business district together into "One Red Bank".

Taxes-alternate revenue opportunities and green technologies need further exploration. We must take advantage of any cost saving initiatives that are available.

Education-government must stand in support of our children. The collaboration of organizations allows for greater opportunities for our children to grow, learn and flourish. They are the future of our country and every effort must be made to provide the highest level of educational excellence.

My DFA Values

My Campaign is People Powered!

My running mate, Ed Zipprich and I have a field plan that enlists community partnerships to implement. We will be garnering support from Monmouth DFA and collaborating with other Democratic and Progressive Candidates through Monmouth County. The "team" approach will allow us to leverage the strengths of the collective Democratic team to provide a strong and intense message that will resonate with voters this November. We have outlined a finance plan that will allow for our message to be delivered and repeated to our constituents. We will enlist GOTV and "Vote by Mail" to ensure that we obtain the maximum voter exposure.

About the Endorsement Process

All campaigns seeking a DFA endorsement are first required to complete the endorsement application in order to be considered. Members of the DFA Political team will review applications after submission and make endorsement decisions on a rolling basis throughout the applicable election cycle.

The driving force behind all DFA endorsements is our membership. We gauge DFA member support in a number of different ways. For starters, supporters can publicly show their support on any candidate’s application page. We also utilize endorsement decisions of local DFA groups as a measure of local community support. Finally, if you know a candidate deserving of a DFA endorsement who hasn’t yet applied, we want to hear about them! Please visit the Endorsement FAQ page for answers to frequently asked questions about our endorsement process.

If you still have any questions, or want to let us know about a candidate in your neighborhood, please call us at (802) 651-3200 or email us at [email protected] .
