Clint Curtis for US Congress FL-24

Background:

Clint Curtis has been an activist and leader in the election integrity issue. He testified before Conyers' Commission in Ohio on how the voting machines could be hacked and about the actual request to do so. This helped start the push to restore our democracy. In 2006, he was elected as the Democratic candidate for US Congress in FL-24. Through polling and post election canvassing, he demonstrated that the machine counts could not be trusted. With his leadership and the work of election integrity organizations around the country, Florida was forced to go to paper ballots. Because of his internal knowledge of computerized voting, he has consulted on several of the Election Integrity bills presently before Congress. For Clint's election this year, election integrity groups from across the country will be invited to help design and prove the best method of performing audits on the paper ballots. There will be no excuse for not allowing this country elections we can trust.

Clint believes the nation deserves a Congressman willing to work for a prosperous economy, for you to feel secure at home and America to be respected abroad. He is committed to work to keep jobs in America by requiring balanced trade, to revitalize NASA and return America to a position of strength and honor both militarily and scientifically. Clint will bring our troops home from Iraq and has promised not to approve any war appropriations that do not include definite time tables for withdrawal. He will work to provide Universal Health Care and to protect Social Security from being raided. Clint will also sponsor legislation that will allow this country to achieve energy independence now and reduce fuel costs by 70%.

Mr. Feeney will have a war chest of over 5 million dollars. A grass roots organization is the only way to counter such a numerical advantage. We will have people on the ground and on the internet. I already have a national reputation which will provide us with media coverage that most candidates can not enjoy.

My stance is that the budget should be balanced and that government should be smaller and less intrusive on private lives. This includes the topics of Abortion, medical illness cases such as Terry Schiavo, or privacy issues such as the intrusive laws enacted in the Patriot Act.
