Hi DFA Member;

I need say no more except any concerns you may have on the Democratic campaigns, our DFA Founding Father and  DNC Leader Howard Dean has the answers.

John Harwood interviews him in this video which I will also have posted on our site.

Dean is first always!!! The wingnuts are last.

----
I stopped watching CNN but this is a classic. Listen to Borger, Toobin and Cafferty rip McCain and Clinton for their faux outrage over Obama's truth telling.

5:32 am - good morning blog!

I just listened to Clinton's response to Obama's 'inartful' comments - she is so out of tuoch!  and she was using that softer, quivery voice of hers that sounds so phony.  this crap doesn't work when it comes across as an act - a handful of soundbytes without sincerity.  thanks for that link, Mary!

CNN did good with that - I loved them at the end - laughing at Clinton's foolishness for calling Obama an elitist!

the NYT has a good fix on the Obama comments, too.  this is telling - repeating repub talking points.  that's such bs - wise up or go away, Hillary.

clip.... The remarks touched off a torrent of criticism from Mrs. Clinton, Mr. McCain and a string of Republican activists and party officials, all of whom accused Mr. Obama of elitism and belittling the working class. At a rally here Friday evening, Mr. Obama drawing a standing ovation in a crowded gymnasium as he rebutted those charges and painted both of his rivals as entrenched Washington insiders.

“No, I’m in touch. I know exactly what’s going on. I know what’s going on in Pennsylvania, I know what’s going on in Indiana, I know what’s going on in Illinois,” Mr. Obama said, his voice rising. “People are fed up, they’re angry, they’re frustrated, they’re bitter and they want to see a change in Washington. That’s why I’m running for president of the United States of America.”

clip...After making her remarks before a crowd of voters, aides to Mrs. Clinton issued several statements criticizing Mr. Obama, including ones that contained criticism from Republicans. Soon, the McCain campaign also weighed in with criticism of Mr. Obama’s remarks from the California fundraiser.

Good morning, everybody

The spouse tells me the dustup is being covered in the Boston Globe, as well.  i haven't read the paper.  Did another one of my promos for the Air Force.  lol

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/4/12/6156/24074/83/494173

If i were really paranoid, I'd be really suspicious of the extended text of my previous diary disappearing from the editable page on KOS.  A tech found another copy and replaced it.  BH has taken that diary off the sidebar and left one i posted on April 5th.  Perhaps there's an objection to having the Air Force referred to as flyboys.  lol

it's a good point that cnn was talking like that before Obama's response came out. he hit another ball out of the park with this one - it should carry well!

susang has this up at dkos with his response:

hi Monica - I thought that was pretty unusual for your diary to be 'edited' like that.  I do suppose it's one of those subjects which garner that type of reaction from certain quarters!  lol!  thanks for sharing your brillaince, your courage and your wit!

they were just discussing the Obama flap on the Washington Journal and the calls were overwhelmingly for Obama.  this may be a real tipping point folks!

News from overseas in Britain--

[...]

The coroner recorded a verdict that Pte Smith's death was caused by "a serious failure to recognise and take appropriate steps to address the difficulty that he had in adjusting to the climate". The point of contention was whether the phrase "serious failure" contravened the rule that coroners' findings must not be framed in a way that could support legal action.

[...]

Just as the claim that national security would be compromised by the Serious Fraud Office's investigation of alleged corruption in the arms contract with Saudi Arabia was rejected by Lord Justice Moses, so Mr Justice Collins has proved equally unconvinced of the need to withhold information from families. National security must be safeguarded, but the case must be proven before it is allowed to impinge on justice. As Lord Justice Moses told the High Court in London in relation to the arms deal investigation: "The rule of law is nothing if it fails to constrain overweening power." The government may be reel- ing from the cumulative effect of this learned opinion, but as it continues to wrestle with constitutional reform it should build on this solid demonstration of judicial independence as the bedrock of our democratic system.

Obama is a good listener and has traveled the country. I like the way our Democratic Party rules about allocation has taken him across the country to almost every state. He is now in touch with the American people outside the beltway, which makes him extremely dangerous to the powers that be, because he is responding to the people as witnessed by those remarks.

the struggle is on, and it is good to expose the DLC and the Clinton folks as being more in step with Republican talking points

I want a bumper sticker that says "Don't blame me I voted Democratic."

My long rain forcast shows the first warm rain for April 22 so hopefully when it dries out after that planting can begin.

I will be really bummed if I miss that day, running the platform debate at our District Convention, and trying to get elected National Delegate. ... looking out my window to snow covered ground is pretty serious stuff when our nation's food supply is this precarious

(sorry to share my fretting with you, but corn doesn't grow on trees, maybe I should plant hazelnuts which do)

I actually attended that event in Feb 2007 in Dover.  It was the first sign that the organization was poor.

I've come to think of both Clinton and McCain as monkeys to each other --

-- monkey see, monkey do.
