Voters Decide Petition Signatures

Written by: DFA Staff on Feb 22, 2008 5:45 PM EST

On Monday, DFA activists in Washington, DC, New York City, Chicago, Las Vegas, and San Francisco will be delivering the over 60,000 signatures on the DFA Voters Decide Petition to some very influential superdelegates.  On Tuesday, DFA activists will be making deliveries to superdelegates across the country.

In Washington, DC, the petition will be delivered to DNC Chairman and superdelegate Howard Dean.  In New York City, they will be delivered to superdelegate Sen. Hillary Clinton.  In Chicago, they will be delivered to superdelegate Sen.Barack Oabama.  In Las Vegas, they will be delivered to superdelegate Majority Leader Harry Reid.  And, in San Francisco, they will be delivered to superdelegate Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Here is the email that DFA Field Director Ilya Sheyman sent out earlier today:

You are amazing. In just one week, over 60,000 DFA members have signed our call to action demanding that super-delegates let voters decide the Democratic nominee.

We took this campaign to the media with our friends at MoveOn in a full-page ad in USA Today. Now it's time to deliver our signatures to super-delegates across the country.

On, Tuesday, February 26, will you deliver our message to a super-delegate near you?

Sign up right now to make a delivery in your community:

On this issue, there is no middle ground. Our nominee must be based on the will of millions of Democratic voters, not a group of less than 800 party insiders.

Thanks for all you do.

Please sign this DFA petition. It should change some minds, though whose minds I haven't a clue.

Phil wrote "Hillary has a better chance of winning Ohio than the Red Wings do of winning the Cup Tom."

That makes Ohio a lock for Clinton.

Linda wrote "Its a shame Obama's votes don't match his rhetoric. Hillary's does."

If true, her rhetoric must be 'The U.S. will remain the policeman of the Mideast only slightly less than the century Sen. McCain has promised to pursue his Rogue State Rollback.'

Hillary should not pursue those delegates in Florida.  There are two lawsuits recently and a previous Supreme Court precedence giving the DNC the right to do what they did.

Two lawsuits and a Supreme Court precedent on the side of the DNC

Mike wrote "the hockey playoffs.............too early right now.............plus your Red Wings losing 6 or so straight, all the injuries to teams, flu, etc.................lets wait another month or two........."

You have to consider that the losing streak is an aberration. It's the first time they've lost that many consecutive games in 17 years.

I was thinking that perhaps Edwards name should be inserted where Hillary's is. Her rhetoric is pretty consistent and does indeed match her record.

Well I screwed that up - Hillary's record is fine - instead of Obama - insert JRE. How's that?

Howdy, all. Here's a little bawdy Friday humor for ya (this is a true story, apparently;)

A cheeky artist who uses his penis as a brush has entered a racy self-portrait for Australia's top art prize.

Australian Tim Patch, who calls himself Pricasso, usually exposes his talents at sex product fairs around the world, but has decided to go upmarket by entering a painting for Australia's Archibald Prize -- the nation's top award for portraiture.

In a unique painting style, Patch does not use paint brushes, but his penis to apply paint to the canvas.

"I had to use my bum to paint in the background, because you have to have the occasional break," Patch told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper on Wednesday.

Soooo...

The National Nurse folks contacted the Health Policy Aides for Obama, Clinton and McCain, asking for a meeting.

Within an hour they had a YES from the Obama folks.

They sent out a second message to the Clinton and McCain people.

The Obama people called to confirm the meeting time.

Still no word from Clinton or McCain.

Now THAT tells me how much Clinton REALLY cares about health care,
and how much Obama really means it that he wants to hear from us
and wants to support our actions!

Arrrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

On the local news tonight they showed Hillary Clinton's
new campaign office in South Burlington, VT and...
AND...it's in the same building as DFA.

That just doesn't seem right!
