Uncounted House Parties

Written by: Ilya Sheyman on Jan 29, 2008 2:41 PM EST

Host an Uncounted Movie House PartyDid you think the 2000 election was stolen? And that maybe something was wrong in 2004 as well? Are you wondering what effect election fraud had in 2006? Do you want to know what really happened and how it'll affect this year's election?

If you answered 'YES' to the above questions, then you need to host a DFA-Uncounted House Party on Wednesday, February 13th.

www.DemocracyForAmerica.com/uncounted

From your house party, you'll be able to call in to a very special conference call with filmmaker David Earnhardt and DFA Chair Jim Dean.

We have free copies of Uncounted on DVD to send to the first 200 House Parties with 10 RSVPs before February 6th.

We'll give you all the tools you need to host an effective party. You just need a TV, DVD player, and a living room big enough for you and a few DFA friends. Be sure to get started on planning your house party today.

Uncounted is an explosive new documentary that shows how the election fraud that changed the outcome of the 2004 election led to even greater fraud in 2006 - and now looms as an unbridled threat to the outcome of the 2008 election. This film examines in startling terms how easy it is to change election outcomes and undermine election integrity across the U.S.

The film ends with a call to action to take our elections back. Offering ideas, identifying possible coalition partners, and providing the tools to get the job done. This is a great way to have fun watching a movie with friends while working to move America forward.

Will you host an Uncounted House Party on February 13th?

we're just $73,000 from raising more money for this campaign in one month than in any previous three month period.

Raising this money gives us the opportunity to expand our efforts in the next round of key states that will vote or caucus on February 5. It allows us to buy time to broadcast spots, purchase newspaper advertisements, organize public events with John Edwards and expand our phone bank calls.

Click here to help us raise $73,000

This is still a three-person race for the Democratic nomination. We have identified the key February 5 states where we know John Edwards will have a strong showing -- and where we are going to win delegates.

Over the next 7 days, John is crisscrossing the country, taking his message of bold change into these key states. This is the message he has said he intends to carry all the way to the Democratic Convention, the nomination -- and then on to the White House.

Your continuing support means a great deal to John and to this campaign.

IThank you for all you do.

I guess one reposted fundraiser deserves another........

Help Build Our Movement Across the Country

We're heading into the next set of primaries and caucuses with a lot of momentum.

But with 22 states set to vote on February 5th, it's going to take a massive effort to build our campaign across the country and be ready for Super Tuesday.

This campaign has always been about building a different kind of politics.

We don't take money from lobbyists or political action committees, and we're building a broad base of individual donors to ensure that this campaign answers to no one but the people.

That starts with you.

Help this campaign get ready for February 5th. Make your donation online using the form below.

If you would like to make a monthly recurring donation, click here.

Tom

Apparently you don't understand the metaphor of being comfy in one's own skin.

The more BO people attack JE and JE supporters, the more people who lurk, sitting on the fence, are likely to vote for HC or JE.  You're not doing your guy any favors.

*****************************

Annilow, you make good points about why BO may not be comfy looking to me.  Makes good sense.

Phil, it's good to know that BO, like JE, listens well.  We need that.  Please keep your little ones warm.

*****************

We know that voters have short attention spans.  We also know that "rock stars" who rise too fast and early, have crashed in the past.   I see the pattern between Howard and BO and it troubles me, as it opens the door to HC sweeping it, especially with those horrible super delegates.  I also see the possibility of a HC/BO ticket when all is forgiven and let's move forward kinda thing.  That's been my projection all along.  And then lose the general.  Neither the misogynists nor the racists would vote that ticket.

So JE needs to stay in for a possible

BO/Jim Webb tickie... and please not the woman on Sominex who'd be a heartbeat away from the presidency.  BO needs to keep that in mind.

J. Sri Raman, writing for Truthout, says: "On January 21, a cloudy Monday, India's polar satellite launch vehicle PSLV C10 put Israeli satellite Tecsar into orbit. The launch was not conducted with the customary fanfare. The media, usually a special invitee and a ringside spectator at such events of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), was pointedly kept away. Reason: Israel wanted no media witnesses at the launch of its spy satellite."

You may be right. I know the disgusting attacks against Obama by the Clintons, and the irrelevant and even racist criticisms of him by several on this blog, have driven me into his corner from a position of ambivalence except in the matter of Iraq.

The Clintons and those people should congratulate themselves on accomplishing the exact opposite of their intent.

Well, it's a theory.  On the other hand, you have to wonder if exposing Edwards as a political windsock, who keeps his record under a bushel basket for none to see, may actually convince an undecided reader that he would  make less than an ideal president.  There's always a chance, anyway.

This is what happened to my parents. Mom was for Hillary and Dad for Edwards. Now they are reluctant supporters for Obama. Dad thinks Edwards is done but they still think Obama's inexperienced but they were disgusted by the Clintons racial attacks. They also think Hillary is playing unfair in Florida and Michigan. I think the Clinton campaign has Bill on a much shorter leash.

Just stopping throuh for a few minutes to post about Sibel Edmonds ... just one among the many unreported stories in the US MSM.

But the rest of the world IS paying attention. Outing Valerie Plame was not the first traitorous betrayal by putzCo. And they did know indeed just exactly who she was.

===============
January 27, 2008
Tip-off thwarted nuclear spy ring probe

AN investigation into the illicit sale of American nuclear secrets was compromised by a senior official in the State Department, a former FBI employee has claimed.

The official is said to have tipped off a foreign contact about a bogus CIA company used to investigate the sale of nuclear secrets.

The firm, Brewster Jennings & Associates, was a front for Valerie Plame, the former CIA agent. Her public outing two years later in 2003 by White House officials became a cause célèbre.

The claims that a State Department official blew the investigation into a nuclear smuggling ring have been made by Sibel Edmonds, 38, a former Turkish language translator in the FBI’s Washington field office.

Edmonds had been employed to translate hundreds of hours of intercepted recordings made during a six-year FBI inquiry into the nuclear smuggling ring.

She has previously told The Sunday Times she heard evidence that foreign intelligence agents had enlisted US officials to acquire a network of moles in sensitive military and nuclear institutions.

Her latest claims relate to a number of intercepted recordings believed to have been made between the summer and autumn of 2001. At that time, foreign agents were actively attempting to acquire the West’s nuclear secrets and technology.

Among the buyers were Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Paki-stan’s intelligence agency, which was working with Abdul Qadeer Khan, the “father of the Islamic bomb”, who in turn was selling nuclear technology to rogue states such as Libya.

You know, Tom, nastiness does not become you. Those are pretty cheap shots at Edwards.

Edwards is NOT The Enemy. Neither are those of us who support him ... and while he may not be the candidate du jour, as Obama apparently is, there is no need to continue with the cheap shots.

I'll vote for Obama if he's the nominee. But I will not forget the cheap shots.

They are unnecessary. And they do unnecessarily embitter.

And this is it for me now ... with bad bloggie and bad Tom.

Phil has never explained why Edwards keeps support from the Clintons -- unless he assumes those supporting him would otherwise support them

Are Edwardians really latent Clintonians?

Considering Edwards' poll numbers have dropped as Obama's have risen, just the opposite seems more likely.

The message that Obama will have to incorporate to finally win the support of those now leaning towards Edwards will be the exact measure of progressive populism that will be required to bring in the rest of the non-voting electorate along in the General Election to assure the new majority. were he not in those millions (tens of millions) would be forgotten

there really are three different bases that these candidates are building and all are important to the party and the longer that process goes on the better so that fifty states get to weigh in

It seems to me that Hillary is only getting DLC voters. The main reason the DLC is fighting the 50 state campaign is it forces Hillary to campaign everywhere and she is not popular every where (she may not be popular anywhere). Hillary will get the establishment candidates which include seniors. Edwards and Obama are dividing up the benefits of the 50 state campaign and getting those not enabored with the DLC such as independents and younger voters and those fresh to the electorate. If Edwards drops out, Obama should get his votes because Obama is closer to Edwards positions then Hillary is. I don't see where Edwards dropping out helps Hillary as Obama would pick up his supporters. If Edwards has the cash to hang around until after Feb 5th then he will help define how out of touch Hillary is. The big question?
When will Bubba erupt again? As much as I dislike Hillary, having Bubba making a fool out of himself and his wife getting angry at him weakens Hillary's position more and more. So my new Bubba position is do more "it is about me" stuff so we can watch your wife crash and burn.

Hi All! It has been way too long since I have been here, I am sorry.

None the less, Do you think that this is real! Agatha got it via email today, I also heard about this on the news. They are even dissing Howard and Jim Dean. I am skepticle as to whether this is real because it came from an AOL address. I left a message for NOW president asking her to let me know.

Below is Agatha's response to email, and the NOW email.

What BULLSHIT!  The hell I am voting for Hillary Clinton; she is indeed the wrong woman to be the first female president of the United States.  Am I to vote for her just because she has two X chromosomes?  Margaret Thatcher shared that characteristic; look at what her "fantastic" leadership abilities did for England and the world.

Hillary Clinton is the last hope of the DLC wing of the Democratic party.  Thank GOODNESS for Howard Dean, Jim Dean, the netroots, and Kucinich for the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party.  Howard Dean was a board member of Planned Parenthood, for crying out loud.  Next time I give a contribution, I assure you it won't be to NOW.

And, you forgot to mention in your press release that Caroline Kennedy betrays women, too.

Shame on you,

Senator Ted Kennedy Betrays Women

Press Release

January 28th, 2008

Marcia A. Pappas, President

518-469-2661

Senator Kennedy Betrays Women by Not Standing for Hillary Clinton for President

January 28, 2008 (Albany, NY)  Women have just experienced the ultimate betrayal. Senator Kennedy’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the Democratic presidential primary campaign has really hit women hard.  Women have forgiven Kennedy, stuck up for him, stood by him, hushed the fact that he was late in his support of Title IX, the ERA, and the Family and Medical Leave Act to name a few.  Women have buried their anger that his support for the compromises in No Child Left Behind and the Medicare bogus drug benefit brought us the passage of these flawed bills. We have thanked him for his ardent support of many civil rights bills, BUT women are always waiting in the wings.

And now the greatest betrayal!  We are repaid with his abandonment!  He’s picked the new guy over us.  He’s joined the list of progressive white men who can’t or won’t handle the prospect of a woman president who is Hillary Clinton (they will of course say they support a woman president, just not “this” one).  “They” are Howard Dean and Jim Dean (Yup! That’s Howard’s brother) who run DFA (that’s the group and list from the Dean campaign that we women helped start and grow).  "They" are Alternet, Progressive Democrats of America, democrats.com, Kucinich lovers and all the other groups that take women's money, say they’ll do feminist and women’s rights issues one of these days, and conveniently forget to mention women and children when they talk about poverty or human needs or America’s future.

This latest move by Kennedy, is so telling about the status of and respect for women’s rights, women’s voices, women’s equality, women’s authority and our ability – indeed, our obligation- to promote and earn and deserve and elect, unabashedly, a President that is the first woman after centuries of men who “know what’s best for us.”

Just want you all to know that I have been busy offline. I did the Michael Moore house party--it was great. But I did not follow up sending photos and names of people who attended. Too bad, cause I do have great photos. I am into Obama ever since I saw him in Washington Square park this summer.

I think I will do some visability for him this week. I also like Edwards. The BlogBookClub was too much for me to juggle, and losing JC was devastating. Getting back though I hope.

The sad point is that four months from now, regardless of the shady, race baiting, cheating undertaken by Clinton to win, you all will dutifully hold your nose and be bragging up Clinton, contributing money, hold parties.  You all intellectually know who they really are but like addicts, you can't say no to them.  Bush wasn't smart enough to real damage, they are. How about ending welfare as we know it, round 2.
