Do I get to say...Howard is 1st?
Any bets ? This blog ( DFA) will support Hillary for 2008. Anyone but WHat ? Please prove me wrong.
Howard is first. I will write him in for 2008 !
Hey LZ!!!
Yeah Cubs are first tonight but Howard and the Deans are always first.

Night Paine - hey I'm coming to Boston in a few weeks. Let's talk!
OK I'm going to have to dig out my green visor and start taking blog bets once the playoffs start.
Seriously if anyone gets WGN superstation you should turn it on. These are the best fans in the world and the young team is just having a ball.
Any bets ? This blog ( DFA) will support Hillary for 2008.
Put me down for yes. DFA isn't about to go that far outside the fold.
I want to thank all of you who educate yorself , work through mistakes and learn, to help this nation grow, and help our growth that will hopefully better the world and the future of all. Peace, and goodnight ! Howard 08, 2012 . I want My Country BACK.
Night chuck - thanks for your contribution tonight.
#20 I will say goodbye to you on that day, and meet you in the woods, and say Rfk was a good Crony appointment, and so was Jim, BUT. Wage Peace.
Bill Nelson and Alcee Hastings will file suit against the DNC next week. One has already been filed by a Tampa activiist. All the unpleasant details here...but the Miami Herald cartoon is there for your giggling pleasure. I see Puddle posted it at her blog as well. I laugh everytime I see it.

Waste of time, waste of money, and a terrible strain on the emotions of the people who are members of the state party. There is so much more opposition to these idiot moves than I realized before. They need to let it alone.
Denise, I will be in Boston for the protest on the 27th. Hope you and others can make it.
Oh, and don't forget one of the Dems here is thinking of suing IA, NH, NV, and SC for being "terrorist rogue states".
http://journals.democraticunderground.com/madfloridian/1527
We should all just sue each other and everyone else and get it over with.
#20 I will say goodbye to you on that day,
We each should do as we see right.
DFA backed Kerry in 04 there isn't lickspitlle's difference between him and Hillary. I didn't quit DFA over that so I'll probably still be around whichever Dem it backs in 08.
I'm curious what the word "florida" means. Is it Spanish for "insane"?
I will be a lurker .
Wage Peace, and thanks for what you think is right. Be right for all in the end, and you are a true patriot for all and the world, and the kids in the future ! zzzzzzzz
There is Eddie in Maine behind the Coke bottle. I think this is when Sal asked John Edwards why he dissed Dean in '04.
I thought we were the grassroots, and yet we act like we're always waiting for instructions from on high. If we don't want to support a presidential candidate we should let our thoughts be known. A poll doesn't do it for me, since, I understand votes were taken from outside DFA also the last tim I don't believe there are many Hillary supporters in all of DFA. We did the last poll to get new members, but we never heard how that worked out.
I don't want to do anything that will divide or diminish DFA. Can't we just concentrate on the other DFA list candidates? If others feel this way, we could let our wishes be known. We can take part in initiating actions too, it's not all up to staff, From the roots up you know. It would be good to work more closely with hdqtrs.
A few things:
1. I do not expect Al Gore to run.
2. If individuals do not like the victor at the Democratic National Convention, they can (should IMO) focus their individual efforts at influencing a progressive Congress, and candidates at the state and local levels.
3. "Do not take personally" specific endorsements by DFA (particularly those you individually do not favor).
John Mccain said yesterday he doesnt wan a Musli to run for President.........tha he thinks only a Presiden with 'Christian" values should hold the highest office in the land....................did he forget about any "other" religions out there?

Re: vetting. Aldon grabbed me Sun. a.m. & introduced me to Jamie E.--I trust Aldon's vetting, vs. any org's, BTW. No agenda--he & I define "progressive" in a similar fashion...
. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aldon did good work on the National Democratic Party Platform last go round. My Governor got to meet him and we visited about Aldon's ideas. and how soon we forget Ned Lamont's heroic effort within the Democratic Party.
good luck having any influence on Republicans as an Independent or the direction of the Democratic Party nomination fight
The only way the War Party gets a nominee is if the people of Peace stay home. Votes will count in over half of the states this time for sure so every single one of you are in such a ststae or next to one.
but here at DFA the poll will matter, and if you can't articulate support for one of those running, time to pump up Al Gore (who needs to be on our ballot)
"...Arjuna was reluctant to take part in battle because of the slaughter he knew he would cause in the enemy ranks, which included many of his own relatives. He was persuaded by his charioteer and close friend Lord Krishna, to change his mind. Their dialogue about issues involved in war—courage, a warrior’s duty, the nature of human life and the soul, and the role of Gods—forms the subject of the Bhagavad Gita, one of the key episodes in the epic Mahabharata. ..."
BTW. No agenda--he & I define "progressive" in a similar fashion...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
as do I which I forgot to say ... Howard Dean attracted some great people and a great many of them are members of DFA ... let's go win the Presidency for progressives instead of proving Carville right that when push comes to shove we sit down and let the old party establishment determine the outcome this time we have Howard fighting for us too
Howard at the top and us at the bottom I think we should win this one if we don't quit
this blog is evidence of many who are trying
thanks for the pics maine-fem
with the Brewers out I'm now officially a Cubs fan and look forward to a pair of Harry's glasses as my fashion statement of the year to come
Cubs/Red Sox would make a super series; two great ball parks
When I suggested that everyone vote in Democrats in 2006, I said at the same time that this was no endorsement. I said that without their minority status to fall back on, they would be exposed as co-imperialists with the Republicans to all who still bore Sisyphean hopes for that agglomeration of political oxygen theft.
In 2003, I said that Democrats would have invaded Iraq; and that they had every intention of staying. This is part of a systematic redisposition of the post-Cold War US armed forces. Bill Clinton was looking at the same plans, and they are all the same. Put the imperial troops on permanent bases in Southwest Asia.
This is not a Bush war. the Democrats have co-signed this crime every step of the way, and they intend to continue the adventure until we have Saigon 1975 Redux.
They just overwhelmingly authorized a resolution declaring the armed forces of another sovereign nation to be a terrorist group. They have consistently authorized pantopticon surveillance. Now they are in unison saying the war will last for ten, maybe 20 years, and they will not stop it even if they are in power.
Wanna hear the funny part? The Republicans are going to beat their asses in 2008, and a lot of us aren't going to lift a finger to stop it from happening.
They are worse than Republicans, because they are the half of the con that is pretending to be our friend.
If we want to invest our hopes in anyone about this war, then it needs to be in a GI rebellion or a catastrophic economic collapse.
There are more and more right now who are saying that after they cast their ballot for Dennis Kucinich in the primary, we'll be showing up a year form November with signs explaining why we are letting the Democrats sink into their own shit.
Now they are exposed. There will be no lesser-evil war. Elections haven't been democratic here ever; and we are tired of the sham. Now everyone can see it is a sham.
Now we need to throw sand in the gears. Or be good little Germans, vote quietly, and ignore the smoke. Your choice.
